Math and ME is brought to you by Pierce County Early Childhood Network, and is made possible thanks to the continued support of Boeing and our Pierce County community partners.

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a term for the way children acquire social and emotional skills. SEL has five main skills: self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision-making, self-management, and relationship skills.

By merging SEL concepts when introducing early learning Math, we hope to break down barriers children may feel and make Math fun and accessible to children and their families. This toolkit was created to help adults connect with the children in their lives as they learn counting, shapes, and patterns.
